Welcome! We're an Irish company based in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, and onsite in Varna, Bulgaria. We are an authorised company of Varna Medical University. We help secure places for fellow Irish students in Varna Medical University and Pleven Medical University.
Studying medicine or dentistry in English in Bulgaria is a great option for Irish students and we're here to make the process possible. We're a specialised team of professionals based in Ireland and Bulgaria and current students at the University. I’m a first-year medical student, currently studying medicine at Medical University Varna, Bulgaria. I know for sure this dream of studying at medical school was only made possible with the help of Irish Doctors Bulgaria. I originally had been aiming to achieve enough points to attend medical school at RCSI after completing my leaving cert. Unfortunately I did not make enough points to do so. I’m sure some of you will be in the same boat! Because of that, when given the option to study abroad, I felt unsure about doing so as any 17/18 year old would going out in the world on your own. Before I discovered this company, I had problems with entrance exam resources, documents, apartment hunting and the sorts. I was originally with a company who gave me the wrong materials for the entrance exam and who didn’t give me nearly as much reassurance or help in my application process. I had almost lost my place in MUV and felt crushed. However after one tearful phone call with Neil Smith and being greeted with great hospitality, detailed advice and immense help on what to do from Irish Doctors Bulgaria, that reality flipped. On top of that, moving abroad to study medicine in Varna became less scary as it would’ve been otherwise. With Irish Doctors Bulgaria I received help with finding an apartment, the correct exam materials (even a free zoom call going through it all), advice on settling in first year and resources such as ankis to help tackle exams in first year too! Neil Smith was careful and organised, made sure all details were correct upon my arrival in Varna, on top of schedule with any deadlines and was always willing to answer any questions I had with great detail and helpful information. A heartfelt thank you to Irish Doctors Bulgaria for helping me start my medical journey on a firm foundation and especially making realise that my dreams could come true!
